Site Maps

Site Maps must be present on the site, as these pages act has primary navigators for search engine spiders. When SEO and website optimization initially came into being, HTML language was the only option to utilize. Today, there is another known as Extensive Mark-up Language or XML.

While HTML is still recommended by Google to be utilized for the site map on your site, they also recommend that XML be used. The site administration has the ability to determine and feed information to search engines with these two languages. The difference is that with XML, pages are crawled as priority and higher up the ladder of site content alongside of the most recent updates, making it the most preferred language of the two.

On-Page SEO

Several factors make up good page copy. Among them are unique quality content that is keyword relevant, Schema markup, optimizing images, media, and the like to reach success with SEO and website optimization. Pages need to precisely define the page matter. Title tags should be original and thoughtful so that web browsers will be inclined to stop web surfing long enough to see what the site is about, what it has to offer, and if it is something that can interest or help them.

Creativity should thrive here to maintain interest and captivate the reader. Titles should be brief but descript. Human beings have a short attention span, so in order to maintain appeal, keep with easy reading and short phrases. All tags including meta tag should be usable for the purposes of maintaining reader attention. A description of what the site is about should be included, followed by concise text, short and descriptive.

Link Structure

Links should pop enough to catch the reader’s attention, but not so much that they distract from the article. It is a good idea to use alternate text when images are utilized as links. This makes it easier for Google to differentiate what is happening on the website and act accordingly. Include a summary of the page. This will allow the web surfer to determine if he or she wants to continue surfing the site or move on to another site.

Navigation

If the web page is put together well with interesting content, chances are more likely than not that they will keep reading. It is important to remember to utilize text primarily for navigating a website. When utilizing images for navigation purposes, it makes this process more complex than it needs to be and that can send potential customers running to another site. Simplicity is key with any website.

The more crisp and neat a website is, statistically, it is likely to get more hits. Compare major brands, it is easy to see why they work. Content should be based on the perspective of the customer not the SEO. Too many individuals building websites get wrapped up at looking through the wrong lens and the site does not do well. Look at the site through the customers eyes.

Optimized Media

Media is a huge outlet to attract new customers and remind old ones where a specific website is so take advantage of these places. Facebook, LinkedIn, and others are constantly being utilized around the world 24 hours a day. Use these resources to increase business.
