7 Tools to Help Make Content Marketing SEO-Friendly

1. Google AdWords Keyword Planner

The Google AdWords Keyword Tool is kind of a no-brainer. Being the largest and most widely used search engine in the world, Google has gone out of its way to make it as easy as possible for your site to reach the search results top of the list.

With the Google AdWords Keyword Planner, you can simply type in any topic, and Google will provide you with a list of nearly 1,000 SEO friendly keywords, ranked by search frequency. You can also export the keywords to a spreadsheet file and refer to them at a later date, if necessary.

2. HubSpot's Blog Topic Generator

Once you've found a few trending keywords related to your topic, turn to HubSpot's Blog Topic Generator to get some ideas for content titles. Just grab a few words from the Google AdWords Keyword tool, and type them in! You'll receive a number of article title suggestions that might help get the creative juices flowing.

3. Buzzsumo

Buzzsumo is a great program that allows you to enter a topic and see the most popular related content that's being shared on social media websites. With Buzzsumo, you can track the sharers and the specific social media site that the stories have been shared on.

4. Impactana

Impactana goes a little deeper than Buzzsumo, and it allows you to see how much interaction each shared link pertaining to a specific topic has received. You can see the number of comments, the actual views recorded, the backlinks, and so forth. Impactana is particularly effective in determining whether or not a shared piece of content actually generated any traffic for the host website.

5. Grammarly

Grammarly goes far beyond what Microsoft Word or Google Docs offers in terms of editing and proofreading. You can even configure Grammarly to check for issues specific to the style of content that you're creating (clickbait articles, standard reference, etc.)

6. Sendible

Once you've published your piece, you can use Sendible to quickly and easily post your content on multiple social media websites, saving you the hassle of visiting each site one-by-one. This really cuts down on time and energy.

7. BuzzBundle

If you're looking to promote your content further, use BuzzBundle to search keywords related to your topic. BuzzBundle will return with related questions that have been posted on website forums, social media networks and blogs. Then jump right in and respond to the queries with a link to your content. It's an easy way to increase traffic to your site.
